About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist secondary school catering to students with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your role will be to plan and teach creative, differentiated maths lessons that help learners build confidence, problem-solving skills, and practical numeracy.
Key Responsibilities

Adapt the KS3 and KS4 curriculum to suit diverse cognitive abilities

Teach in small groups with high TA-to-pupil ratios

Create positive relationships and safe spaces for learning

Monitor progress against EHCP goals

Engage with families and outside professionals for holistic support
Essential Skills & Experience
-
QTS and recent UK SEN teaching experience
-
Strong knowledge of the maths national curriculum (GCSE or Functional Skills)

Effective behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
-
Comfortable with personal care tasks (training provided)

Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and SENCO
