Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE) + excellent benefits

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm

Our client is a well-established, award-winning independent accident repair centre based in Westcliff-on-Sea, with over 25 years of industry experience. Originally founded in the Midlands, the business has grown rapidly through organic expansion and continues to build a strong reputation within the vehicle body repair sector.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Bodyshop Prepper to join their busy and professional team.

The Role

As a Bodyshop Prepper, you will play a vital role in the paint process by ensuring all vehicles are fully prepared to a high standard before entering the spray booth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle panels and surfaces through sanding, smoothing, and feathering
• Apply fillers and stopper to minor imperfections and finish to a high standard
• Mask vehicles and panels to protect non-painted areas
• Apply primers and prepare surfaces for paint application
• Clean and degrease vehicles to remove dust, grease, and contaminants
• Ensure vehicles are fully prepped and ready for the spray booth
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Follow all Health & Safety guidelines, including correct PPE usage
• Complete all work efficiently and within agreed timeframes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience in a Bodyshop or similar environment
• Demonstrate a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Have good knowledge of preparation and paint processes
• Be confident using sanding and polishing equipment
• Work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment
• Be a strong team player with good communication skills
