Attendance Officer
Location: Haringey
Salary: £100 - £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long term until the end of summer term

GSL Education London Branch is currently looking for a dedicated Attendance Officer to join a vibrant and inclusive girls' secondary school in Haringey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Attendance Officer to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting their attendance and academic progress.

As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in promoting excellent attendance, working closely with students, parents, and staff to identify issues and implement solutions. This long-term position is ideal for someone who is proactive, organised, and passionate about supporting student welfare.

Responsibilities of an Attendance Officer:

Monitor daily attendance and punctuality using SIMS (School Information Management System)

Make daily calls and follow-ups with parents/carers regarding student absences

Maintain accurate attendance records and produce reports as required

Work with pastoral teams and senior leaders to improve overall school attendance

Carry out home visits when necessary to support families and students

Requirements for the Attendance Officer role:

Previous experience working as an Attendance Officer in a school setting

Strong working knowledge of SIMS is essential

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies

Available for an immediate start and able to commit until the end of the summer term
