Nursery Practitioner

• Hourly Rate: £14.18
• Location: North Wigan, near Lancashire border
• Job Type: Part-time to Full-time (18-36 hours per week)

We are seeking 2 dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join our expanding nursery attached to a primary school in the North Wigan area. These roles are ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a significant impact in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years within the nursery setting.
• Plan and deliver engaging and educational activities that promote children’s learning and development.
• Monitor and record children’s progress, ensuring developmental milestones are met.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support the children’s learning and care.
• Adhere to the nursery’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education.
• Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly within the nursery’s opening hours from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
