About the Company:

St David Recruitment are seeking experienced Health & Safety Advisor to partner our clients team in the Cardiff / South East Wales region with an immediate start available.

Our client is a specialist civil engineering company focused on building, maintaining, and renewing essential infrastructure across the UK and have recently been awarded significant contracts, including a strategic water framework project for up to 11 years. This project highlights their commitment to delivering sustainable solutions in partnership with water companies.

The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support our operations across Cardiff and South East Wales. This is a key role ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are maintained across all projects.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within civil engineering or infrastructure

* Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry best practice

* Experience working on utilities, water, or infrastructure projects (preferred)

* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities:

* Provide expert advice and guidance on all health, safety, and environmental matters

* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

* Support the development and implementation of H&S policies and procedures

* Promote a positive safety culture across all project teams

* Investigate incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions

* Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards

* Deliver toolbox talks and training where required

Salary: Day rate - from £320 plus - DOE
