Overview:

My client is a market leader in their innovative sector of renewable technology The Commercial Development Manager is responsible for driving the adoption of the organisation's technology solutions within the food, beverage, and agri-tech along with adjacent process manufacturing sectors. This role combines deep sector-specific technical understanding, including process energy use, thermal systems, and production constraints, with strong commercial acumen to identify, develop, and convert high-value market opportunities.

Acting as a trusted advisor to early adopter customers, the role works to understand their operations, decision-making processes, and performance drivers, to position the company's solutions for maximum impact. The Commercial Development Manager will work closely with internal teams across product, engineering, and service to align offerings with customer needs, shape early product/market fit, and support the successful delivery of pilot projects and commercial deployments.

The role is pivotal in building and maintaining strategic customer relationships, supporting segment strategy development, and representing the organisation within the food and beverage industry to promote its value proposition and technical capabilities.
