The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and processing of the seed warehouse goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
Train, supervise and appraise staff.
Oversee the functions of the crew.
Review and manage the customer contracts.
Ensure that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
Review and approve production orders and tags.
Work with customers concerning any problems encountered during shipping or receiving, such as long wait times, torn bags, short or long count discrepancies.
Work with the other supervisors to insure a smooth process.
Be available to act as a backup for other supervisors in the department.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Must be literate and fluent in English, written and verbal.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
Must be observant, organized, and detailed oriented.
Must function well in a fast-paced environment.
Desire and ability to learn.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, bend at the neck and waist, kneel, squat, crawl as well as climb ladders or stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
