Are you a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher eager to inspire young learners and support their early educational journey? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced KS1 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Watford from September 2025.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to children in Years 1 and 2. You will create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures a love of learning and supports every child's individual development.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.

*

Assess and monitor pupil progress regularly, adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.

*

Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, curiosity, and independence.

*

Manage behaviour effectively, promoting positive attitudes and excellent conduct.

*

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.

*

Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

*

Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all pupils.

Person Specification / Requirements

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching KS1 pupils.

*

Strong knowledge of EYFS and KS1 curriculum frameworks and assessment requirements.

*

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage young learners.

*

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

*

Ability to differentiate teaching to support children with varying needs and abilities.

*

A patient, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching and professional growth.

*

Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
