An established insolvency firm is seeking a proactive and technically competent Assistant Manager to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified insolvency or accountancy professional to join. They are looking for a proactive assistant manager to take charge of a varied caseload, while playing a key role in insolvency assignments.
The Role
In this role, you’ll take full ownership of a dynamic portfolio of corporate and personal insolvency cases. You’ll also play a key supporting role on more complex advisory and restructuring projects, working closely with senior colleagues on high-impact assignments. As a trusted point of contact for stakeholders — including directors, creditors, and legal professionals — you’ll be instrumental in driving progress, managing expectations, and maintaining momentum.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a range of insolvency appointments including CVLs, MVLs, Administrations, and Bankruptcies
- Ensure all statutory reporting and compliance deadlines are met across your caseload
- Liaise confidently with directors, creditors, solicitors, agents, and internal stakeholders
- Supervise and support junior staff, providing mentoring and technical guidance
- Contribute to strategic planning and review processes in conjunction with senior management
- Prepare case reports, correspondence, and client-facing documents with accuracy and professionalism
- Assist in informal restructuring, turnaround planning, and business reviews where required
Requirements
- CPI qualified (preferable)
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience within a UK insolvency practice
- Sound knowledge of UK insolvency procedures and regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while mentoring junior team members
