This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September, and comes with a TLR2b for departmental leadership responsibilities.

About the Role:

As Head of Maths, you will lead a team of committed professionals in delivering outstanding Maths education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will be responsible for shaping curriculum intent, raising achievement, mentoring staff, and ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning. This is a strategic role for someone with a clear vision, strong subject knowledge, and a passion for driving departmental success.

We are looking for a candidate who:

Is a passionate and experienced Maths teacher, ideally with leadership or departmental responsibility experience

Has a track record of securing excellent outcomes across KS3-KS5

Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related discipline

*

Demonstrates strong leadership and team management skills

Is confident in leading curriculum development, assessment strategies, and data analysis

Is committed to inclusive and high-quality teaching for students of all backgrounds and abilities

*

Can inspire and develop colleagues within the department
