Electrical Assembly & Test Technician – Industrial Machinery
We’re looking for a skilled and versatile Electrical Assembly & Test Technician to help build, wire, and test complex industrial machinery. This is a hands-on role involving complete machine wiring, functional testing, and electrical support work around the site. Perfect for someone with strong electrical knowledge and a practical, problem-solving approach.
What You’ll Do:
- Wire complete electrical systems including sensors, motors, actuators, and interconnects
- Perform functional tests, I/O checks, and basic fault-finding before commissioning
- Verify safe operation prior to software or HMI integration
- Work from electrical schematics, layouts, and BOMs
- Support electrical installation and upgrade work around the factory
- Assist with new machinery installs and improvement projects
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure high-quality builds
What You’ll Bring:
- Background in machine wiring or industrial electrical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Hands-on experience with drives, sensors, motors, and control devices
- Confident in troubleshooting electrical issues during build and test
- Flexible to switch between workshop and on-site tasks
- Strong teamwork and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Electrical installation experience (industrial/commercial/domestic)
- Recognised qualifications such as 18th Edition
- Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems or drive commissioning
- Experience in OEM manufacturing or process equipment
Hours & Pay:
- 39 hours/week, Mon–Fri (with overtime available at enhanced rates)
- Pay dependent on experience
