We're recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking and fast-growing Facilities Management (FM) company. Known for their high standards and ambitious growth plans, they deliver comprehensive FM, mechanical, electrical, and small works solutions across the UK. As they expand their commercial team, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to make a real impact.

Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the financial and contractual performance of multiple FM, mechanical, and electrical (M&E) projects. You'll work closely with operations and project delivery teams, ensuring all commercial aspects—from pricing and tendering through to final account—are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

* As a quantity surveyor you will provide full Quantity Surveying support for FM, mechanical, electrical, and small works projects across the UK.

* You will prepare and analyse costings for tenders and quotations, with a focus on M&E project pricing.

* As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial aspects of contracts from tender through to final account.

* You will conduct valuations and monitor project finances to ensure value for money.

* Submit and negotiate interim and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

* As a Quantity surveyor you will monitor and control budgets, identifying risks or cost overruns early.

* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and wider commercial and delivery teams.

* Contribute to monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and financial reporting.

* Ensure contractual compliance and application of industry best practices.

* Attend client meetings and site visits as needed.

Requirements

Essential:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a QS role within FM, construction, or building services (including M&E).

* Strong understanding of commercial contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.).

* Experience pricing mechanical and electrical works.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders nationwide.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.

Desirable:

* MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.

* Client-facing experience in a commercial setting.
