Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Office Location: Colchester (projects across East Anglia and Essex)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 + car & package

We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client at their offices in Colchester. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with the cost management of our clients projects across East Anglia and Essex whilst working alongside a growing team of professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality full fibre broadband to rural communities in the area.

Some of the Assistant Quantity Surveyors key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation and management of project budgets
Support the team with tender processes and contract negotiations
Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle and provide regular reports to senior management
Assist with the preparation of bills of quantities, schedules of rates and other tender documentation
Review and negotiate variations, claims, and dispute resolution
Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years' experience within the telecoms, utilities or highways industry
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when required
Knowledge of NEC contracts is desirable
