Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Harlow, CM19
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical expertise and a proven background in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will bring 10-15 years of experience, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement to ensure smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations.

• Fault-find and repair production machinery and onsite facilities, with particular expertise in electrical controls.

• Ensure start-up procedures are followed and documented daily.

• Prioritise and complete repairs to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.

• Oversee and maintain service intervals and schedules.

• Execute all tasks safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Health & Safety Regulations, including working at height.

• Operate hygienically within a factory environment, in line with TQS and BRCGS protocols.

• Calibrate and ensure accuracy of scales before and during production.

• Liaise effectively with Directors, Managers, and Supervisors to maintain smooth operations.

Key Skills & Experience

• Electrically qualified, with extensive knowledge of engineering and electrical principles.

• 10-15 years' experience within the FMCG industry.

• Strong background in electrical fault-finding; experience with MultiVac or Thurn machines highly desirable.

• Attention to detail and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

• A reliable team player who understands manufacturing priorities.
