Westlakes Recruit are seeking an experienced CE&I Senior Design Engineer to support the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects. This role combines office-based design responsibilities with on-site support to commissioning teams, requiring strong technical expertise, collaboration, and communication skills, based in West Cumbria.

Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Eligibility

• Minimum HND (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
• SC Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain)

Working Arrangements

• 37 hours per week, typically over 4.5 days
• Minimum of 3 days per week working on-site at the plant
• When not required on-site, a minimum of 3 days per week based in a West Cumbria design office
• Occasional travel (approximately once per month) to a Warrington-based office

Experience (Minimum 5 Years)
Demonstrated experience operating at a senior level within CE&I design, including:

• Delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects in external environments
• Providing front-line, site-based design support to commissioning teams
• Producing, reviewing, and checking detailed engineering designs and modifications
• Working knowledge of relevant external standards, including:
  • PES-based control systems
  • Process instrumentation
