We're partnering with one of the UK's leading providers of industrial, medical, and special gases - a global organisation focused on safety, sustainability, and innovation - to recruit a Senior Project Engineering Manager. This is a field-based role with hybrid flexibility (2-3 days per week), offering the opportunity to lead significant projects across multiple external sites.

The Opportunity
A key leadership position, this role is ideal for a Project Engineering professional ready to take ownership of high-value projects. You'll lead cross-functional teams on external customer sites, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard of safety, technical compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all project engineering activities, with a particular focus on external site delivery
Manage multi-disciplinary teams on customer locations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations
Drive project prioritisation, resource planning, and workload management across multiple workstreams
Offer hands-on leadership and technical guidance throughout project lifecycles
Maintain strong alignment with customer expectations and internal stakeholders, ensuring engineered solutions meet business needs
Promote simplification and standardisation of processes and designs, fostering a culture of value engineering
Ensure full SHEQ compliance across all project phases, including risk assessments and regulatory audits
Use project management tools to drive timely delivery and performance reporting via defined KPIsAbout You
Degree-qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related)
Chartered Engineer status is advantageous but not essential
10+ years' experience within engineering environments such as construction, industrial, or manufacturing
Proven track record in leading project teams on external sites
Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory frameworks, and technical project delivery
A proactive and accountable leader, able to balance hands-on involvement with strategic oversight
