The Role - Mechanical Fitter

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires nationwide travel, with all hours paid door-to-door, plus excellent overtime opportunities to boost your earnings. Our team of Mechanical Fitters are key to delivering successful projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly, installation, service, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.

*

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

*

Carrying out mechanical fitting, pipework installation, and fabrication tasks.

*

Undertaking fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs as required.

*

Supporting site-based installation and commissioning activities across the UK.

*

Completing job documentation, site reports, and compliance records.

*

Adhering to Health & Safety regulations and company standards.

Experience & Qualifications

*

Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, or similar.

*

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline.

*

Experience with pumps, valves, pipework, and general mechanical assemblies.

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

*

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

*

Full UK Driving Licence (nationwide travel required).
