Accountant (Insurance)
An established insurance group operating within the Lloyd's market is seeking a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) to support its group accounting and operation finance teams. The role provides a mix of strategic input and hands-on financial reporting, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders. This is a key position within the accounting team, responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of financial statements, management reporting, and audit coordination related to group entities.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of year-end financial statements

Production of management information and reporting

Support day-to-day financial reporting and bookkeeping functions

Assist in audit planning and coordination

Build strong working relationships with corporate member clients through direct contact (in-person and virtual)

Handle client queries and provide accurate, timely information

Represent the organisation in internal and external working groups as required

Stay informed of Lloyd's regulatory and reporting requirements for corporate members
Skills & Experience:

Experience in accounting within the Lloyd's or London insurance market

Strong understanding of preparing statutory financial statements and management accounts

Previous experience working with auditors and supporting audit processes

Advanced Excel skills, including handling large data sets

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

General IT literacy and adaptability to bespoke systems (training provided)
Qualifications:
This role would suit a technically capable accountant with strong insurance market knowledge, who is confident managing both regulatory reporting and client engagement. The position offers a balance of operational delivery and stakeholder interaction within a well-established and respected insurance group.
