About the Role:

A well-regarded secondary school in Aylesbury is looking to appoint a dedicated Biology Teacher to join its successful Science department from September 2026. This role will involve teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach A-Level Biology for a suitably experienced candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality science education and encouraging students to develop a genuine interest in Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, well-structured Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for the right candidate).

Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination board requirements.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students.

Support pupils in achieving strong GCSE outcomes through effective teaching and targeted intervention.

Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment opportunities such as science clubs and educational trips.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Biology at secondary level.

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education.

The ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
