About the Role:

Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science, your role will be instrumental in shaping confident, inquisitive learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).

Engage students through interactive and practical learning approaches.

Monitor and assess student progress to tailor instruction and provide targeted support.

Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous departmental improvement.

Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement in the classroom.

Take part in whole-school events and science-related extracurricular activities.

✅ The Ideal Science Teacher Will Have:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

A strong academic background in a science discipline.

Experience teaching Science in secondary schools.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A student-focused approach and enthusiasm for teaching science.

A commitment to inclusive practice and academic success.

An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
