Blue Plate Catering, located on Madison's west side, is looking for an energetic, dedicated and talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team.

For fourteen straight years, Blue Plate Catering has been voted a Best of Madison Caterer. The Executive Chef will be responsible for all kitchen operations, management duties, ordering, scheduling, and catering operations. This position will lead and develop the culinary team at Blue Plate ensuring all food is prepared efficiently, professionally, safely, and artfully. The Catering Chef will also work closely with ownership to ensure all Blue Plate standards are upheld and goals are achieved.

Some of the more specific job duties are listed as follows:
- Prep and assemble dishes with excellence: to Blue Plate Catering standards!
- Execute and complete finished food items as ordered
- Supervise, train & develop kitchen staff on best practices
- Ensure portion sizing and quality standards of Blue Plate Catering are met
- Daily & weekly ordering
- Complete daily kitchen area sanitation and inspections
- Maintain a safe, healthy & productive working environment
- Ensure kitchen conforms to Health Department Codes
- Understand the process for offsite deliveries
- Assist on-site at catering events

Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years management experience
- Must be adept at multitasking and able to adapt changes as they arise
- Experience in large production catering company required
- Ordering & scheduling experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required
- Must be available to work most weekends and flexible hours
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs.

Compensation and Benefits:
- $60,000-$70,000 plus bonus packages
