Early Years Practitioner - Gosport
Are you the kind of practitioner who turns play into purpose, makes every story time an adventure, and knows that the biggest learning sometimes happens in the smallest moments?

We're working in partnership with a warm and welcoming school in Gosport who are looking for a nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join their team. If you're passionate about supporting young children to thrive emotionally, socially and academically - we'd love to hear from you!

Contract: Full time - September 2025 start
Salary: £13 - £15 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children's learning and development through a mix of child-led and adult-initiated activities

Encouraging independence, curiosity and social confidence in every child

Helping to establish clear routines that promote calm, consistency and a sense of security

Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework and classroom ethos

Observing, recording and contributing to the assessment of children's progress

Supporting children with additional needs where required

Providing personal care and promoting wellbeing throughout the day

Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, confidentiality and professionalism

What We're Looking For:

A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (preferred, but not essential)

Experience in a nursery or early years classroom setting

A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development

A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach, with a good sense of humour!

A team player with strong communication skills and a genuine love for helping little ones grow

A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and child-centred practice

Confident English, Maths and IT skills
