Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £13.60 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Sleep-in shifts included | Potential annual earnings: £33,088 - £34,960

Contract: Full-time | Rotational shifts (inc. evenings/weekends)

We are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a nurturing and dynamic team at a well-established children's residential service. You will play a vital role in supporting young people aged between 8 and 17, providing therapeutic care, stability, and structure to help them thrive.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Leading and supervising shifts to ensure a safe, structured, and engaging environment for the children

* Supporting the Registered and Deputy Manager in the daily operations of the home

* Mentoring, coaching, and supervising junior staff

* Contributing to care planning and key-working responsibilities

* Ensuring care and safeguarding standards are consistently upheld

* Acting as a positive role model to promote independence and resilience in young people

* Liaising with professionals, families, and external agencies

What We're Looking For:

Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent - essential)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development & relevant legislation
A calm, compassionate, and resilient nature
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
