Senior Manager - Financial Services

The successful canddiate would be ooking after 19 advisers, 13 in Bath and 6 in Exeter, and they would need to be in the office 3 days per week. 95% of the advisers in this team are all established and have been with the business for a while, so it’s a high performing team.

We are seeking a focused, motivational, and inspiring Senior Manager to lead our team of Financial Advisers. This role requires a proven leader with a strong track record in coaching and excellent industry knowledge. You will be responsible for motivating and leading both experienced and entry-level Financial Advisers, sharing best practices and adapting your management style to meet various levels of experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop objectives and create business plans for individuals within the team.
  • Coach and mentor Advisers to ensure business plans are met and performance expectations are achieved.
  • Take overall responsibility for the cumulative performance of the team.
  • Work closely with Operations and Paraplanning Managers to implement effective training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with the FCA’s Statement of Principle and Code of Practice for Approved Persons and the effective delivery of the Senior Management and Certification Regime.
  • Regularly engage in client observations, focused one-to-one meetings, feedback, and coaching sessions to support and encourage Advisers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Dip PFS) is essential.
  • J07 (supervision in a regulated environment) or equivalent is highly advantageous.
  • Significant prior experience in a managerial role, specifically managing Financial Advisers.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the advisory process.
  • Flexible management and coaching style to meet the needs of a diverse team.
  • Proven success as a business leader with strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver through others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive relationships with team members and key stakeholders.
