Dedicated Religious Education Teacher Wanted in Westminster! Ethical Studies Secondary School Location: Westminster Role: Religious Education Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging and challenging Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3-4, and potentially A-Level, with a particular focus on ethical studies and moral philosophy.

* Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of different ethical frameworks and their application to contemporary issues.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the RE curriculum with a strong emphasis on ethical studies.

* Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Religious Education, particularly in the area of ethical reasoning.

* Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, moral deliberation, and the development of students' own ethical perspectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Ethics, or a related field.

* Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply), with a strong interest or experience in ethical studies.

* Strong subject knowledge across a range of religious and philosophical traditions, with a particular focus on ethical theories.

* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate thoughtful discussions on ethical issues.

* A commitment to fostering a learning environment that promotes ethical understanding and moral development within a supportive setting.
