Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Derby to recruit a full-time Design and Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2025 until December 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who specialise in Design and Technology and are eager to inspire the next generation of innovators.

The Role:

You'll be teaching Design and Technology to KS3 and KS4 students, delivering engaging, practical, and innovative lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will be confident across key areas of the subject such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Engineering.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Specialism in Design and Technology

A dynamic and engaging teaching style

Excellent classroom management and organisation

A proactive and flexible approach to teaching

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

What You Can Expect:

Full-time teaching timetable from September to December 2025

Daily pay between £162.30 and £223.62, based on experience and responsibilities
