At Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to drive performance, safety, and reliability across our operations.

Location: Cliffe Hill

Hours: 40 pw

Salary: Competitive

Your Mission

As Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be the go-to expert for all mechanical and electrical maintenance on shift. You'll lead from the front-ensuring equipment runs efficiently, safely, and sustainably. You'll also play a key role in shaping our journey to "Best in Class" through Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma tools.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate all maintenance activities on shift.

  • Drive improvements in OEE and maintenance KPIs.

  • Manage and supervise contractors and the on-site TPM team.

  • Plan and implement preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.

  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

  • Use Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Performance Goals

  • Achieve and sustain 85%+ OEE.

  • Improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).

  • Reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

  • Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and work orders.

What You'll Bring

  • Time-served apprentice or NVQ in Maintenance Engineering (Level 3+).

  • HNC/HND in Maintenance Engineering (desirable).

  • Green Belt Six Sigma certified.

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualified.

  • Strong mechanical engineering skills; electrical knowledge is a bonus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems.

  • NVQ Level 4 in SHE Quarry Operations (advantageous).

  • A proactive, hands-on leader with excellent communication and motivational skills.
