Henderson Scott has partnered with a dynamic, fast scaling SME based in Central London (Zone 1) to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. With a strong leadership team in place, and the CFO reporting directly to the CEO the business is preparing for its next phase of growth, with ambitious plans to secure 10% of market share.

To support this expansion, we're looking for a strategically minded and hands-on Financial Controller who brings multi-site experience and a passion for developing both people and processes.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact from day one. You'll work closely with an experienced and commercially driven CFO to strengthen the finance function, lead system improvements, and support wider business transformation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver timely, accurate monthly financials across multiple sites
  • Coach, mentor, and develop an existing finance team
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis alongside the CFO
  • Manage and improve reporting, controls, and processes across a multi-site operation
  • Partner with operational leads across different locations to ensure financial alignment
  • Play a key role in implementing a new finance/ERP system
  • Work closely with senior leadership (CFO, CEO, and Heads of Department) to support decision-making

About You

We're looking for a Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-moving SME setting and is ready to take ownership.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong experience in multi-site or multi-entity businesses
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop finance teams
  • Track record of producing high-quality management accounts and financial reports
  • Strategic mindset, but happy to be hands-on when needed
  • Comfortable operating at senior leadership level
  • Exposure to finance system implementation or upgrades a plus
