Prep Chef - Join Our Restaurant Team
We are looking for a talented and passionate Prep Chef to join our busy restaurant kitchen. This is a family-friendly role with hours from 8 AM to 4 PM - no late nights and no split shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to support the culinary team in delivering outstanding dishes.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
Support the kitchen team in daily food production and ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards meticulously.
Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries, labelling, and rotation of ingredients.
Contribute ideas and collaborate with chefs to enhance menu items and presentation.
Help monitor portion control and minimise food waste.
Support a positive team environment and assist colleagues as needed. Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment, preferably in food preparation.
Good knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and basic cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn from senior chefs.
Basic knife skills and familiarity with common kitchen equipment.
