A reputable engineering consultancy based in Canary Wharf, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis to support the delivery of electrical design solutions across rail and infrastructure projects.

The role will involve a mix of detailed design work and collaboration with clients and project teams, with occasional visits to client offices/sites to assist with specialist works, including cooling system-related projects.

Role Responsibilities

Interpret client specifications and develop compliant electrical designs

*

Deliver electrical services design for rail/infrastructure projects

*

Produce calculations, technical reports, specifications, and drawings

*

Design LV distribution, cable management, lighting & controls, earthing/bonding, metering, and sustainable systems

*

Use AMTECH and other design tools for calculations and compliance

*

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support client presentations

*

Deliver work to agreed time, quality, and budget requirements

Essential Requirements

*

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

*

AMTECH experience

*

Proven Rail industry experience and knowledge of rail standards/regulations

*

Experience delivering electrical design within consultancy/infrastructure environments

*

Working knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT and Dialux

*

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in client-facing settings

*

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
