Are you an experienced Science Technician with a strong background in supporting science education? We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Science Technician to join our dynamic science department at a secondary school in the Bury area.

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

• Support teachers during practical sessions

• Maintain and organise laboratory stock, including the safe storage and disposal of chemicals

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the laboratory

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment

• Assist in the development of practical science resources

• Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting

• Strong understanding of school science experiments and lab procedures

• Confident in handling and maintaining chemicals and lab equipment

• A relevant qualification (e.g., degree in a science subject) or significant school-based technician experience

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• A proactive and safety-conscious approach

• Knowledge of CLEAPSS guidelines

• Experience supporting GCSE or A-Level science
