Pertemps have a fantastic position for a Quality Inspector at a well established manufacturing compnay in Coventry.
The Role:
You are part of a dedicated Quality Inspection team, responsible for ensuring that
planned quality controls are applied, for inspector as well as for operators.

This is a hands-on position, mainly related to inspection, where flexibility and a desire to constantly improve are the most relevant soft skills in order to assure a systematic company improvement.

The role requires a strong cross functional relationship to communicate key issues effectively on a regular basis to all staff.

Necessary competences:

It is preferable to have:

Experience in quality control in automotive field, particularly on machined components.

Basic knowledge:

Interpretation of mechanical drawings (ISO Standard). Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances GD & T.
Ability to select and use basic measuring equipment, micrometres, calipers, protractors etc
Ability to use standard gauging including plug, gap, acceptance etc
CNC and CMM operating (selecting and running programs)
Ability to interpret and understand specific customer quality standards and requirements.
Communication skills
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft office.

Responsibilities and duties of the Inspector:
First off inspection
In process inspection
Running CMM programs
Audit operators to assure they are performing controls according to ASE's control plan.
Keep the Quality areas in order and clean according to 5S method.
Just in case, support production running production equipments.

This is a temp to perm vacancy for the right candidate with immediate starts. Hours are Monday to Wednesday nights 18.00-06.00.

Salary is £16+ per hour + Overtime
