CNC Programmer / Setter / OperatorBirmingham £32,000 – £40,000 (DOE)37 per week (Mon–Thurs, 7am–4:45pm)Fridays OffMy client is a market-leading manufacturer and with over 30 years’ experience, they specialise in bespoke designs crafted from marine-grade stainless steel and brass.The RoleI am seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our skilled team. You will take ownership of programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines (3-axis VMCs) and CNC lathes with C-axis and driven tools. Working to tight tolerances and high standards, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our components meet exact specifications.Key Responsibilities
  • Programming, setting, and operating Fanuc-based VMCs & turning centres and XYZ ProtoTRAK milling machines/lathes.
  • Manufacturing precision components in 316 stainless steel and brass from technical drawings and concepts.
  • Ensuring all products meet strict quality standards with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised work environment.
  • Working both independently and collaboratively to achieve production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ proven CNC programming and setting experience.
  • Proficient with Fanuc controls and XYZ ProtoTRAK software.
  • Strong technical understanding of engineering and machining principles.
  • Ability to interpret and work confidently from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a passion for high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach.
