Are you an expert in designing DC:DC switched-mode power supplies?

Do you dream in Altium Designer, and thrive on turning complex electronics into clean, production-ready hardware?

We want to hear from you.

About the Role

We are recruiting for a fast-growing engineering company designing cutting-edge power conversion products for global markets. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you'll lead the development of high-performance DC:DC SMPS solutions from concept through to manufacturing, playing a vital role in shaping next-generation electronics.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop advanced DC:DC switched-mode power supply products (both isolated and non-isolated)

  • Use your Altium Designer expertise to produce best-in-class schematics and PCB layouts

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, testing, and production

  • Investigate and resolve issues in both prototypes and production units

  • Ensure compliance with EMC, LVD, and other regulatory standards

  • Lead hardware validation and production test development

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to product roadmap planning

We are Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in electronic circuit design, with deep focus on SMPS (DC:DC) topologies

  • Mastery of Altium Designer for schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout

  • Strong grasp of power electronics components: MOSFETs, inductors, transformers, gate drivers

  • Experience in design-for-manufacture and product certification

  • Familiarity with EMC/LVD testing and compliance requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Bonus Points For
  • Embedded C experience with low-cost microcontrollers (ARM, MSP430, etc.)

  • LabVIEW or other test automation tools

  • Background in thermal design or EMI/EMC mitigation

What's on Offer
  • Work on cutting-edge technology in a supportive, close-knit engineering team

  • A company culture that values technical excellence and hands-on innovation

  • Real ownership and autonomy in your role

  • Located in beautiful Poole, Dorset with modern facilities and on-site lab
