Assistant Accountant 

Redhill 

Hybrid Role: 3 days or 2 days 

Hours: 9am - 5.30pm 

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 

We are working with a global Civil Engineering client based in the heart of Redhill who are seeking a Project Accountant to join their Project Accounting Team to support their expanding workload within the water industry. The Project Accounting Team works across the whole business and has lots of interaction with the Project Teams. 

About the Role

Responsible for overseeing the financial integrity & contractual obligations of assigned projectsWork closely with Project Managers to provide financial insight & reporting on the performance of projectsDistributes monthly reporting tool for capturing project forecast updates, tracks and reviews the returns and ensures the changes noted are in line with the comments provided.  Any material improvements/erosions are to be notified to the Senior Project Accounting Manager prior to month endMonth End – Reviews the WIP Report for accuracy, reporting, analysis and variance explanation for projects.Complexity and volume includes joint ventures, reporting in currencies other than domestic, major frameworks and multiple contractsAssists with audit requests

Desirable Requirements

Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent financial experience2+ years related experienceIndustry knowledge not essentialBasic knowledge of Power Query Editor (Excel)Basic knowledge of percent complete accountingIntermediate technical accounting knowledge
