We are looking for a Purchasing/MRP Controller for our very well established, successful client in Stonehouse. Our client provides complete solutions for our customers in design, manufacture, and supply. Due to continued growth, we are seeking the following.

Purchasing/MRP Controller - general description of job:

The responsibility of this role will be to follow through the complete purchasing process, ensuring all product demands are met. The role will also involve coordinating deliveries and shipments from the UK and overseas.

Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30

Responsibilities

- Process purchase orders

- Action MRP requirements and demands.

- Progress orders

- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger

- Dealing with invoice queries and supplier returns

- Arranging shipments for goods and progressing this regularly, closely monitoring and recording them

- Update or amend any product records including BOM's, general maintenance of Sage records

- Costing exercises/reviews

- You may also be required to carry out other duties and responsibilities where you have the relevant skills for the task

Requirements

- Structured/organised approach

- Be able to work as part of a team

- Be able to use their own initiative

- Good communication skills at all levels

- Understanding of manufacturing

- Ability to understand manufacturing systems (MRP)

- Good understanding of business systems in particular Sage and Sage Manufacturing

- Experience in purchasing and logistics

- MRP knowledge and experience
