Job Title: CNC Machinist
Shifts: Double Day Shifts

Monday-Thursday- 6am-2:30pm Friday- 6am-11am

Monday-Thursday- 2:15pm-10:45pm Friday- 10:45am- 3:45pm
Location: Nuneaton
Pay Rate: £35,000 - £38,648 per annum + 12.5% shift allowance

The Company:
A Nuneaton-based engineering company specialising in CNC machining for the composite manufacturing sector. This business supports bespoke projects for industries requiring precision tooling and high-quality composite components, jigs, and fixtures. Known for technical excellence and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* CNC machining of tooling for composite components using epoxy boards, carbon composite parts, and a variety of metals including aluminium and steel.

* Optimise machine operating practices by applying correct feeds, speeds, and best programming methods.

* Ensure cycle times align with quoted job times and run left/right-hand parts simultaneously when needed.

* Set up complex components using holding and turnover fixtures or plates efficiently.

* Accurately measure components and tooling using micrometers, verniers, and other gauges.

* Coordinate with CNC Team Leader to secure required parts and materials to meet deadlines.

* Maintain clean and safe working areas and perform preventative machine maintenance.

The Candidate

* Fully trained on CNC machines using Heidenhain, Siemens, and Mazatrol control.

* Excellent understanding in setting machines and working to tight tolerances.

* Time-served machinist background would be an advantage.

* Ability to read technical drawings is advantageous.

* Abilit to work well under pressure.
