Stephen James Consulting is recruiting a Deputy Manager for an independent children's care home. You'll support the Registered Manager, lead a small nursing and care team, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deputise for the Registered Manager and manage daily operations.

* Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support.

* Lead, supervise, and develop the care team.

* Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

* Work closely with families, social workers, and partner agencies.

Requirements:

* Senior experience in children's residential care (2+ years).

* Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding.

* Leadership and team management skills.

* Understanding of trauma-informed care and children's needs.
