Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Ledger / Credit Controller. Candidates should have relevant exposure to credit control, and this experience should be clearly reflected on your CV.

This is a 100% office-based role, Monday to Friday, located near South Ruislip Tube Station (Central Line). Off-street parking is also available for those who prefer to drive.

Role: Accounts Receivable / Credit Controller

Working as part of a busy team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the credit control function. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads while working under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and action a shared accounts email inbox
  • Contact customers to ensure overdue accounts are paid on time
  • Perform customer account reconciliations and provide supporting documentation where required
  • Provide reception cover during lunch on a rota basis
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, the Sales team, and Customer Service to resolve disputed accounts
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers where required
  • Generate sales reports and aged accounts reports
  • Allocate BACS payments
  • Maintain regular communication with Sales and Customer Service teams
  • Calculate annual rebates
  • Prepare aged accounts receivable reports for month-end
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties across departments during peak periods

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Have solid credit control experience
  • Possess strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Have at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Be comfortable handling a high volume of transactions during peak periods
  • Have experience with Business Central (advantageous but not essential)
  • Be flexible when required to support business needs
