Design Manager | Major Residential Schemes | London
 
Join an established main contractor delivering large-scale residential developments across London.
With multiple major schemes secured and starting in 2026, they are strengthening their technical team and looking to appoint experienced Design Managers across several live and upcoming projects.
 
This is a site-based delivery role with projects in NW, SW and east London.
Projects are traditional contract, multi-storey residential schemes with associated infrastructure, access roads and commercial elements.

The Role

Full design management responsibility on large-scale residential schemes
• Managing consultant teams and subcontractor design packages
• Driving design coordination from pre-construction through to handover
• Chairing design team meetings and resolving technical issues
• Ensuring buildability, programme alignment and technical compliance
• Working closely with the Project Manager and commercial team to protect deliveryThis is hands-on technical leadership on live construction projects.
