Prince are working with a successful and ever-growing specialised manufacturing business in Telford who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Coordinator. Over the last few years this company have established themselves as a firm leader in their field - evidenced by their orderbooks which doesn't show signs of slowing down!

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the procurement of materials and consumables for the site, ensuring that orders are placed on-time and the supplier base is managed effectively, including negotiating terms and conditions and cost.

The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for:

* Raising, placing and expediting purchase orders

* Developing robust relationships with suppliers and ensuring effective supplier relationship management

* Ensuring any supply delays or issues are communicated, escalated and managed.

* Ensure effective levels of raw materials to enable production to complete projects on-time and in-full

Skills and Experience

* Previous experience in a Purchasing role such as Assistant Buyer / Buyer / Purchasing Assistant / Purchasing Administrator / Junior Buyer

* Previous experience of working within a busy manufacturing or engineering business

* A driven and ambitious nature

* Previous experience of sourcing new suppliers and handling supplier negotiations

* Previous experience of managing supplier performance
