Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Work closely with individual students or small groups, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs) to support students with diverse learning requirements.
Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt lesson plans and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
Provide dedicated support to students with special needs during class time.
Foster a nurturing and encouraging relationship to enhance the student's learning experience.
Assist in the assessment of student's academic progress and social development.
Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Attend team meetings and contribute insights to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a SEN setting, is highly desirable.
Relevant qualifications in education or special education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient and empathetic attitude towards students with special educational needs.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions from teaching staff
