JOB DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Center (BDC) Representative is a technically savvy individual who understands computers, the internet, and other technologies and who can communicate in a clear efficient way, is responsible for lead generation activities in support of the company’s service department goals. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

- Driving traffic for the service department by setting appointments for prospective customers
- Making inbound and outbound calls
- Updating customer information
- Following up on customer visits to ensure customer satisfaction
- Any other duties that may be assigned

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and/or college degree, or relative work experience, exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (Good verbal skills and a clear speaking voice). Must be comfortable with computers and technology systems. Must have the drive and desire to meet production goals and expectations. Experience with ADP is preferred but not required. Effective time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

· Maintains a prospect development system

· Ensures protection of customer information by continually following Information Security procedures

· Addresses customer concerns and issues or escalates them as needed

· Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel

· Directs customers to the appropriate department or point-of-contact

· Provides electronic and phone customer service assistance

· Maintains customer information into the designated software system

· Follows up after visit to ensure customer satisfaction

· High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred

· Excellent customer service focus

· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

· Strong computer/internet skills

· Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player

· Energetic, self-motivated, and dependable

· Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor

· Highly professional and dependable
