Our industry leading investment banking client is looking for a Communications Vice President to join on a 12 month contract. Inside IR35 based in London.

Core accountabilities of role

Provides excellent support in relation to communications strategies, with experience with understanding and managing relevant factors impacting the area of the business within their personal scope as well as Global Markets as a whole.

Applies knowledge to perform complex tasks and solve issues in creative and effective ways. Accountable for tasks such as:

Supervision and control of communications:

Advising on and building communications strategies in coordination with senior management of Global Markets

Mastering knowledge of, and building messaging for, different business lines, asset classes and strategic projects.

Working with partner teams, including design teams, other comms teams and external partners, to implement comms strategies.

Creation of communication content, including writing, editing, design, video, and digital tools.

Ensure Global Markets' staff, clients and public are kept well-informed of relevant business strategy, news, achievements, awards, deals etc.

Brainstorming on new tools and techniques to continue pushing the boundary of communications.

Maintaining a strong network with business and industry partners, including senior stakeholders across Global

Markets, our counterparts worldwide, other departments of the bank and external partners.

Coordinating on external communications strategies in collaboration with press relations, CIB and Group communications teams worldwide

Departmental Support:

Assist senior team members and Head of Communications as required.

Other Contributions:

Very systematic in gaining intelligence on gaps in staff knowledge

Challenging to business to focus on value added actions, while considering risks, processes and costs

Openly share tools and procedures with other professionals

Promote the profile of the team within the business line and across the bank as a whole.

Work on high profile communications projects with a significant business impact for Global Markets.

Acts as the main point of contact for department discussions with all typical control and support functions within the

Bank for their relevant business area and liaises with other internal teams to facilitate resolution of issues or escalates matters to more senior business management colleagues/senior management.

Utilises expertise to make independent judgements to deal with a variety of situations, with appropriate supervision and guidance from senior colleagues where appropriate.

Co-ordinates with relevant internal teams where required including the Compliance function in relation to all compliance and regulatory matters and audit teams in relation to the Bank's audit processes. Manages relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders to facilitate such workstreams.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Experience of strategic communications planning and day-to-day internal communications management

Professional qualifications and experience in previous communications roles, essential.

Specific knowledge of brand and/or communications principles and processes. Must be able to translate knowledge and experience to improve practice.

Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multitask and provide high quality service to agreed budgets and timelines.

Excellent written and oral English skills to articulate technical issues as well as being able to take complex cases and communicate with individuals across the business.

Good Computer literacy and understanding of relevant software.

Have a good understanding of company policies, procedures, regulations and legislations.

Excellent problem-solving skills, able to come up with solutions and overcome obstacles on complex projects involving senior stakeholders across departments.
