Responsibilities:

Provide intensive support to tenants at risk of tenancy breakdown, including those facing financial difficulties, mental health challenges, or other related issues.
Conduct thorough assessments to identify tenants' support needs and develop tailored action plans.
Deliver practical assistance and advice on budgeting, debt management, and accessing relevant benefits and grants.
Advocate on behalf of tenants with external agencies, such as local authorities, housing benefit offices, and support service providers.
Deliver training and workshops on tenancy sustainment topics to empower tenants with the necessary skills to maintain successful tenancies.
Regularly monitor and review the progress of tenants, adapting support plans as required to ensure positive outcomes.
Collaborate with internal teams, including housing officers and maintenance staff, to address tenancy-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions with tenants.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar tenancy sustainment or support worker role is essential.
Solid understanding of housing legislation and welfare benefits system.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload with multiple priorities.
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards tenants facing challenging circumstances.
Proficiency in using IT systems and databases to maintain accurate records.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the local area.
