Procure Recruitment Group are recruiting for a production chemist.On behalf of a leading chemical supplier of research and bulk chemicals. Specialising in the production of Grignard reagents and gases in solution.

As a production Chemist you will be joining an ever growing team with enormous potential to cement yourself into a team of chemists and packers, in a fast moving production laboratory.

Responsibilities:

* To follow all health and safety requirements

* To complying with lab procedure and completing lab records

* To keep up maintenance of lab equipment and reporting anything beyond repair

* To correctly labelling chemicals

* To maintain accurate stock control and reporting

* To create legible lab notes

role requirements:

* Minimum of BSc in Chemistry.

* Experience in an industrial laboratory environment is preferable.

* Physically fit the job will require the moving of containers up to 25kg, transporting of gas cylinders and drums (200kg) using a barrel lift.

* Experience using gas cylinders (preferable).

Day to day role:

* Production Synthesis of gases in solution (highly corrosive/flammable/ toxic liquids).

* Repack and handling of hazardous materials

* Assisting with retro-synthesis plans and laboratory synthesis of custom materials
