Mill Operative – Multispecies Animal Feed MillLocation: Murton, YorkPay: £17.00 per hour + Overtime paid at 1.5xShifts: 12-hour shifts (rotating days & nights)

Elevation Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and growing production business in the animal feed sector, who are looking to add a reliable and hardworking Mill Operative to their team. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced environment with long-term stability and opportunities to progress.

This is a hands-on position within a busy multispecies feed mill, combining control room operations with shop floor duties. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient production of high-quality animal feed.

• Operating and monitoring production processes via control room systems

• Loading raw materials and handling finished products

• Supporting batching, mixing, and pelleting processes

• Carrying out routine equipment checks and reporting faults

• Assisting with raw material intake and product bagging

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Following all health & safety and quality procedures

• Accurately completing production records

• Supporting general mill operations as required

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• Able to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes

• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

• Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy industrial environment

• FLT licence

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or feed mill environment

• Experience with automated or PLC-controlled systems

• £17.00 per hour + enhanced overtime rates
