This newly developed specialist setting offers tailored education for children with significant communication, interaction, and SEND needs. The school has been purpose-built as an Independent Special School for early years and Key Stage 1 learners, ensuring a nurturing and structured environment where young children can thrive.

A recent Ofsted pre-registration inspection noted that the school has developed “a broad and appropriate curriculum… designed to meet the needs of pupils with SEND with precision”, including strong provision for early reading, phonics and communication development.

The Needs We Cater For

The setting specialises in supporting children with:

Class sizes are deliberately small, ensuring staff can tailor teaching closely to individual EHCP outcomes and provide carefully structured therapeutic support.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, highly differentiated lessons for children with complex SEND
  • Work closely with specialist teams including SALT and OT where appropriate
  • Create a safe, nurturing, engaging learning environment
  • Contribute to whole-school development in a growing specialist provision
  • Build strong relationships with families and external professionals

Requirements

You must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience working with children with SEND
  • Strong understanding of EHCP-led planning and personalised learning
  • A compassionate, resilient and child-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Pattern

  • Part-time: Wednesday – Friday
  • Start date:After Easter
