SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: NG17, Nottinghamshire
Daily Rate: £85 - £95 per day
Contract: Full time, term time only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2025

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the NG17 area to recruit a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 from September.

This full-time, term-time only position is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in children's lives-supporting them both academically and emotionally. You'll be working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver personalised interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups.

The school is looking for someone who:

Has proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, including those with complex or SEMH needs
Understands how to adapt learning and use intervention strategies to support individual progress
Has excellent communication skills and can build strong, purposeful relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Is patient, consistent, and committed to inclusion and pupil wellbeing
Works effectively with colleagues and external agencies to implement and track individual plans
Has strong numeracy and literacy skills, and an understanding of the primary curriculumExperience with interventions such as ELSA, or Drawing & Talking would be a real advantage-but not essential.
