The Role Reporting to the Electrical Engineering & Automation Team Leader, you will join a close-knit team. You’ll play a key role in the conceptual and detailed design of special-purpose machinery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating electrical circuit designs from written specifications
• Producing complete schematic drawing packages
• Generating and maintaining Bills of Materials within the ERP system
• Designing for manufacture and assembly
• Liaising with suppliers on purchased components
• Supporting production, service, and sales teams
• Developing test plans and procedures
• Supporting projects to demanding timescales and budgets

This role is predominantly office-based, particularly as manufacturing is on-site and collaboration with production teams is key.About You We’re looking for a motivated and practical Electrical Design Engineer who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment.Essential:

• 1+ year of EPLAN experience would be desirable, however other electrical CAD packages will be considered.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical
• Degree, HND or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical circuit diagrams and symbols
• Proven experience in electrical hardware design
• Knowledge of EN60204 and EN13849
